Pick a color from the palette in the sidebar. Make sure Pixel is your active tool. Click anywhere inside the glowing canvas border. That's your placement — then your 5-minute cooldown begins.

The canvas is exactly 1000 × 1000 pixels — one million total. The glowing blue border shows where it ends. Outside the border is out of bounds. Use scroll to zoom in and Space + drag to pan around.

Yes, always. Any player can place a pixel over yours at any time. This is the core mechanic. Defending territory requires coordination — the more people actively covering your sector, the harder it is to erase. Solo players get erased. Communities hold ground.

Every pixel costs time, which means every pixel matters. A 5-minute cooldown forces deliberate placement — you're not spraying, you're committing. It also keeps the canvas from being dominated by whoever has the most automated scripts, and gives communities a chance to respond to attacks.

Select Eyedrop from the tool panel, then click any pixel on the canvas. Your active color becomes that pixel's exact color — even shades not in the standard palette. It switches back to the pixel tool automatically after sampling.

Select Bomb from the tools and click a target pixel. Everything in the 5×5 area around your click gets cleared to blank. Each bomb charge has its own 24-hour timer — so if you use one at 9am and another at 3pm, the first recharges at 9am the next day and the second at 3pm. The sidebar shows your remaining charges.

After 3 days, the coord share feature unlocks. It generates a direct link to any canvas coordinate that you can drop in Discord or wherever your group organizes. Anyone who clicks it lands exactly where you're pointing.

Everything in Supporter, plus: Glowing username in chat, 👑 Crown Badge instead of star, 3 daily bombs instead of 2, 10 Color Bookmarks instead of 5, and a spot on the prominent Founders Wall.

Click the Upgrade button in the canvas sidebar or visit the store. Payment is handled securely through Lemon Squeezy. Your perks activate automatically once payment is confirmed — use the same email as your Pixl Rift account.

Click the color preview box in the sidebar to open the palette popup. Switch to the Wheel tab — click anywhere on the wheel to pick a color, use the hue slider to rotate through the spectrum, or type a hex code directly. Your picked color becomes active immediately.

The shield badge on a pixel tooltip means that pixel was placed by a moderator. The ⭐ star means it was placed by a Supporter, and 👑 crown means it was placed by a Founder.

The canvas runs continuously with no planned end. Every placement is logged with a timestamp — even overwritten pixels have a history. Moderators can rewind sections of the canvas if needed for abuse situations. Your mark was there, even if someone painted over it.

Pixl Rift has a built-in chat panel in the bottom left of the canvas. Click it to expand, type your message and hit Enter. Use it to call out attacks, rally defenders, or organize your faction in real time.

Chat rules: 30 second cooldown between messages. Max 200 characters. Profanity, slurs and hate speech are filtered server-side. Spam or flooding will get you auto-muted.
