Pixl Rift is an online multiplayer pixel canvas game. References to "we", "us", or "our" refer to Pixl Rift and its operators.

Information We Collect

When you create an account we collect:

• Username
• Email address
• Password (stored as a secure hash — we never store plain text passwords)
• Date and time of registration

When you use the canvas we collect:

• Pixel placement history (coordinates, color, timestamp)
• Chat messages sent on the canvas
• IP address for abuse prevention

When you make a purchase we collect:

• Email address used at checkout (via Lemon Squeezy)
• Plan purchased and timestamp
• We do not store payment card details — all payment processing is handled by Lemon Squeezy

How We Use Your Information

• To operate the game and provide your account
• To display your username and pixel history to other players
• To detect and prevent abuse, botting, and rule violations
• To process and verify purchases and unlock premium features
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, purchase receipts)

What We Share

Your username and pixel placements are public — they are visible to all players on the canvas. Chat messages are visible to all connected players in real time and expire after 10 minutes.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data with:

• Lemon Squeezy — payment processing
• Supabase — database hosting
• Railway — server hosting
• Upstash — Redis cache hosting

Data Retention

Your account data is retained while your account is active. Pixel placement logs are retained indefinitely as part of the canvas history. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

Your Rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us at the email below. If you are in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR/UK GDPR.

Cookies

We use localStorage (not cookies) to store your login session token locally in your browser. No third-party tracking cookies are used.

Children

Pixl Rift is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.
